Online Health Program Planner » Getting Data In and Out
The Online Health Program Planner (OHPP) was launched in the spring of 2009. Many plans have been started using this tool and as with any new resource, people have had questions.

In partnership with The Health Communication Unit, we decided that one way to make expertise readily available would be to start a discussion forum...so we did.

Please feel free to ask any questions that you have related to the use of the OHPP tool.

There is no way to use your Word document to update the OHPP. Any changes you would like to see made using the tool itself must be entered manually within each respective worksheet.

We downloaded the Microsoft Word version of our situational assessment workplan and made some changes to the Word document, is there a way to load the Word document back into the program to update the information in the OHPP?

Unfortunately no. It is important that when working on a plan collaboratively you establish a clear, common understand around authority for updating or changing the data in the OHPP. Once data has been entered or changes have been made you cannot undo/go back.

It is also recommended that to alleviate potential issues related to multiple users that you: (a) establish a common practice of downloading and saving a full copy of the plan each time you update it, and (b) establish a naming convention each user will apply when saving the downloaded document to serve as a method of version control (for example: DocumentName_DayMonthYear_Time).

In using this practice you can refer back to previous versions and make revisions as warranted.

Are there previous versions of the plans saved somewhere – can we go back to previous versions if a partner makes changes we don’t agree to, or ‘undo’ work that has been done recently?

Check to see if there are scroll bars at the bottom and side of the chart you are seeing at the top of the page. These scroll bars should allow you to scroll and see all of the data you have already entered (all rows and all columns).
• To make changes to any of the data you have entered, within the table at the top of the worksheet scan the first column to find the row that corresponds with the influencer you want to make changes to. Click on the ‘edit’ link within that row and the data you have already populated will appear within the worksheet below. Make edits then save the worksheet before clicking on another row.

In worksheet 2.3 I have entered a series of factors that are ‘influencing the situation’. I can see them at the top of the sheet but there are only three columns of data – how do I make edits? And where is the other information I entered?

Two or more people can work on a plan at the same time by logging in on the same account. Any changes made by either user will be saved each time one of the users saves their data.

What happens if two people are logged on working on the same plan, at the same time?

You can use the freehand objective writer to fine-tune/revise your objectives as needed. Within worksheet 3.1, under the heading ‘Objective Builder’ is a hyperlink that reads ‘Click here to use Freehand Objective Writer/Editor (save your work first)’. Click on this line to go to the freehand writer where you will find your current objectives, which you can edit/modify, or you can write new objectives.
