A (virtual) networking venue for knowledge dissemination and exchange CHNET-Works! is a pan-Canadian inter-disciplinary network that uses creative information technology to bring together population health researchers, decision makers and practitioners for knowledge transfer and exchange. In essence, it serves as a network of networks. It offers a Web-based platform that increases timely access to relevant research and its application; enables discussion and exchange; and supports individual and collective action in advancing public and community health agendas.
A Community of Practice toolkit This toolkit was developed to help people start or maintain a Community of Practice with the Seniors Health Research Transfer Network (SHRTN). A Community of Practice (CoP) is a key strategy to facilitate knowledge exchange among practitioners, researchers, decision-makers and the community. The SHRTN Collaborative Community of Practice Orientation Guide is a user-friendly toolkit that includes resources, an evaluation checklist and a workplan to help people operate a CoP.
