Description

This framework is the basis for a planning guide, From Research to Practice: A Knowledge Transfer Planning Guide. The framework is based on five questions designed to develop and share research to inform decision making.

Steps for Using Method/Tool

The framework guides users through five questions to analyze their current knowledge translation (KT) process:

  1. What should be transferred to decision- makers?
  2. To whom should research knowledge be transferred?
  3. By whom should the research knowledge be transferred?
  4. How should the research knowledge be transferred?
  5. With what effect should the research knowledge be transferred?
