Description

This framework is designed for policy-makers who are studying social interventions and the social determinants of health. The framework is an evolution of historical approaches and includes more comprehensive factors for evidence-based decision making.

Steps for Using Method/Tool

The framework guides users through three main components:

  1. Using high-quality information
  2. Connecting resources
  3. Acknowledging limitations

Each component is supplemented with additional resources and a case study.

These summaries are written by the NCCMT to condense and to provide an overview of the resources listed in the Registry of Methods and Tools and to give suggestions for their use in a public health context. For more information on individual methods and tools included in the review, please consult the authors/developers of the original resources.
