Evaluating KT Strategies in Public Health

Evaluating KT Strategies in Public Health

Evaluating the implementation of a practice change is a very complex process. Knowing how to create and follow a structured process for successful and useful evaluation is an essential skill.

Who is this module for?

Evaluating KT Strategies in Public Health is a free, interactive and self-paced module designed for public health practitioners, program managers/directors and staff who are involved in evaluating the implementation of evidence in practice or program development.

With this module, our suite of online learning resources supports each step of the evidence-informed public health (EIPH) process. This module focuses on the seventh and final step: Evaluate.

What will you learn?

A structured process is essential to evaluate the implementation of evidence-informed practice decisions. Learn strategies for collecting and reporting evaluation data.

In real life, evaluation cannot be done by a single individual. Group input brings different perspectives to the decisions about appropriate evaluation strategies and timing. Therefore, it is best to do this module with two or three other people. We encourage you to use the “group function” currently available in the NCCMT Learning Centre. While you can do the module as an individual, working with colleagues will give you a more complete and realistic experience.

Like other modules, Evaluating KT Strategies in Public Health uses a realistic scenario and several interactivities to support learning. In this module you will practice such skills as:
