Description

This free registry of systematic reviews evaluates the effectiveness of public health and health promotion interventions. Two independent reviewers critically appraise all reviews that meet relevance criteria and provide an overall quality score. The registry also includes other resources to support synthesizing data.

Steps for Using Method/Tool

Health EvidenceTM offers 6000+ pre-appraised systematic reviews relevant to public health interventions. In addition to the database, the website also offers:

  • Seven modifiable tools to help public health units/authorities use research evidence in decision making and document and share lessons learned from that process.
  • Recordings of previous webinars with prominent researchers on the work they have done.
  • Links to resources that support evidence-informed decision making, including resources on systematic reviews, guidelines, public health resources, evidence-informed practice, health policy and research, and knowledge translation and exchange.
