Description

This free, online living repository includes synthesized research evidence related to governance, financial and delivery arrangements within health systems, and implementation strategies that can support health system change. HSE includes evidence briefs for policy interventions, systematic reviews and economic evaluations, along with descriptions of health systems and their reforms.

Steps for Using Method/Tool

Users can perform a basic or advanced search function guided by several prompts, such as type of health system, particular disease or sector, particular countries, or agencies.

The HSE provides a summary sheet divided into three parts:

  1. Clarifying a problem
  2. Framing options
  3. Identifying implementation considerations

These summaries are written by the NCCMT to condense and to provide an overview of the resources listed in the Registry of Methods and Tools and to give suggestions for their use in a public health context. For more information on individual methods and tools included in the review, please consult the authors/developers of the original resources.
