Join Maureen Dobbins, Scientific Director of NCCMT and Health Evidence, for an introduction to the McMaster Optimal Aging Portal (http://www.mcmasteroptimalaging.org/), ‘real life’ scenario searches, and a 30-minute Q & A period.

There is a lot of health information freely available on the internet relevant to ‘optimal aging’ (staying healthy, active and engaged as we grow older) but it's often difficult to know which messages are trust-worthy and credible. Launched in October 2014 as part of the Labarge Optimal Aging Initiative, the McMaster Optimal Aging Portal is a website that provides citizens, caregivers, clinicians, public health professionals and policy makers with easy-to-understand information, based on the best available scientific evidence.
