Description

This tool advocates for the use of systematic reviews as a way to contextualize an issue or problem. The tool also provides strategies to search for and use systematic reviews.

Steps for Using Method/Tool

The tool guides users through three questions:

  1. Is a systematic review really what is needed?
  2. What databases and search strategies can be used to find relevant systematic reviews?
  3. What alternatives are available when no relevant review can be found?

These summaries are written by the NCCMT to condense and to provide an overview of the resources listed in the Registry of Methods and Tools and to give suggestions for their use in a public health context. For more information on individual methods and tools included in the review, please consult the authors/developers of the original resources.
