Description

This method outlines a framework to analyze the context of an implementation setting. Recognizing that an intervention’s setting will influence the intervention delivery, the framework is based on the premise that context is equally as important as the needs and capacities of the people the intervention is meant to target.

Steps for Using Method/Tool

The framework guides users through core elements in the form of a series of nested questions to be used prior to implementation. Core elements, with multiple questions each, include:

  • Understanding the setting
  • Modifying the setting
  • Knowledge development and translation
