Using NCCMT’s Online Learning Modules

Since the release of our first two online learning modules, we have heard many interesting stories from our users.

Several ways in which organizations and individuals have used the modules to increase capacity for evidence-informed public health include:

• to orient students and faculty members in undergraduate or graduate programs to evidence-informed decision making;
• to familiarize new staff (or students on practicum placements) in public health organizations with the principles of evidence-informed public health;
• to increase knowledge or skills for evidence-informed practice and critical appraisal for both individuals and small study groups working through the module together for their professional development or as part of a performance appraisal process.
