Description

Cochrane Interactive Learning is a series of online modules that teach users how to conduct a systematic review. The nine modules consist of web pages, animations, videos and audio recordings. Users can test their learning with interactive exercises, quizzes, worked-out examples and assessments. Each module provides users with a certificate available for download once they have passed the assessment.

Steps for Using Method/Tool

Cochrane Interactive Learning consists of nine modules in various formats that users are able to access online. Each module is divided into several sections that consist of pages of content. Each page is made up of several smaller learning units, building knowledge gradually. This allows users to easily navigate through the modules and learn at their own pace.

The full list of modules is as follows:

Module 1: Introduction to conducting systematic reviews
Module 2: Writing the review protocol
Module 3: Searching for studies
Module 4: Selecting studies and collecting data
Module 5: Introduction to study quality and risk of bias
Module 6: Analysing the data
Module 7: Interpreting the findings
Module 8: Reporting the review
Module 9: Introduction to health economics

Users interact with the content in each module in multiple ways including animations, videos and audio recordings. Assessments include quizzes and interactive exercises. Users can also filter content, mark favourite pages, and monitor their progress. This allows for a personalised, self-directed learning experience.
